Laura Chiu, MAMFT, LAPC  (Asian Counselor)
I am a Christian therapist trained in an eclectic approach (i.e., Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems);
however, my focus is on working with my clients to meet their needs.  I believe counseling is the most effective
way to gain insight into how our past is directing our present and future choices. Our personal relationships have
influenced our perception of ourselves and insightful counseling helps us know what is important to us.
My counseling includes individuals, couples, and blended families, different cultural backgrounds, and
children/teens with academic difficulties, substance addictions, and eating disorders.  I have been trained in
marriage and family therapy using an effective treatment model and specializing in marital conflicts, cultural
issues, PTSD, ADD, addictions, anxiety, anger, and depression issues
