Meet Our Counseling Staff:
Marcia McWhorter; BSN, RN, MA, CCMFT, Director of NBCC.
Marcia has a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and is a RN in the State of Georgia. She holds a Master’s in Pastoral
Counseling and is a Certified Marriage and Family Therapist.  She has been a counselor for over 30 years and
the Director of counseling centers, teaching counseling in colleges and supervising counselors for many years.
Whether you want counseling or just a one time visit to draw from her years of godly wisdom, she can
assist your
needs. She incorporates your gifts and seeks your destiny to come alive which restores purpose.  
She is also
consulting for those starting counseling centers or need a second opinion. She continues to teach and share
truth that makes a shift in your struggles.  
She has a great compassion for those hurting, sparks new life, and
challenges you to grow in your relationships!  
Yolanda Monteiro,  MA, NCC, LPC, CPCS:  
Yolanda earned a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling/ Psychology from Cleveland State University.  
She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia and a National Certified Counselor.  
She has supervised counselors for many years now being a Certified Professional Counseling Supervisor in
Georgia and brings a professional expertise to our center.  She specializes in grief, depression and anxiety
as well as marital and family issues. She has focused herself on delivering the highest quality of care.  
Her sensitivity and compassion seeks to contribute to improving the lives of others and bring a place of
restoration. Yolanda has a heart to see the people healed and made whole again in spirit, mind and body.
Tara Taylor, MAPC, LPC
Tara has a Bachelor's Degree in Interpersonal Communication with a Masters in Professional Counseling
from Liberty University.
She is currently a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia.   She has
worked in marital and family situations as well as with individuals with
self esteem issues, depression, anxiety,   
bipolar, substance abuse and adult survivors of child abuse.  She has worked in school environments as well
as teen and adult groups in multiple areas.  She desires to see you find a place of comfort, healing, and
Melody Vaillancourt BA, MA, Pastoral Counselor
Melody has a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and is finishing her Master's Degree in counseling from Liberty
University. She has worked in family & children  programs in Virginia resolving multiple types of issues in
families.  She is currently seeing those with marital, children and teen issues as well as depression, anxiety,
self-esteem, weight control, anger and grief issues.  Melody desires to see you
be the best you can be and families stable and growing together.

Dr. Cheryl Fultz, Doctor of Biblical Counseling BA, MBC, PhD
Cheryl has received her Bachelor's of Arts in Theology and Master's and Doctorate in Biblical / Christian
Counseling from North Carolina College of Theology. A passion of hers is to work with Married Couples,
Families, Youth, Individuals, and Preparing Couples for Marriage.  She is a native of Pennsylvania where she
had worked for over 20 years as an inner-city youth pastor counseling youth and their families, counseled and
worked as a minister in her church; worked as a Therapeutic Staff Support providing mental health services to
children who were emotionally disturbed, dealing with coping issues, helping with anger / frustration
management and managing behaviors and another passion was working in the prisons as a Spiritual Advisor
to those needing direction. Upon relocating to Georgia, she has served as the Director of the Single Moms
Grant Program with New Beginnings Counseling Center and is presently a Pastoral Counselor, the Children's
Pastor at Father's House Community Church and works as a Technology Teacher / Substitute part time at
Parkview Christian School. She has a passion and desire to help those that feel broken or hurting become
whole again and believes that sometimes you just need a helping hand with some guidance and prayer.
